The Effect of Group Play Therapy on Anxiety in Children Diagnosed with Leukemia

BackgroundOne of the factors leading to anxiety in children with cancer is child hospitalization. This can be due separation, sadness, as well fear a new environment, disability, and continuation life.ObjectivesThe present study aimed evaluate effectiveness group play therapy on leukemia.MethodsThe current research had an applied quasi-experimental approach, pretest-posttest design control group. The statistical population this included all 8-12-year-old leukemia hospitalized Dr. Afzalipour Hospital Kerman 2018. Among them, 30 were selected by convenient sampling method randomly assigned two experimental groups equally. tool was Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children (MASC). Concerning inferential analysis, analysis covariance (ANCOVA) used compare quantitative variables between three groups.
